The latest Sting Special price classic is the 2011, special length, release
The rattan cane is probably the most famous of all the punishment instruments. In part one of this drama documentary Sting Pictures takes a look back at the early years of its use and follows through to the 50s and 60s.
The film opens in a 1900 House Of Correction where inmate Johnson (Carlos Fernandez) is summoned to be punished by his Warden.
First a good bare bottom spanking followed by a caning face down on the pine scrub top table.
He yelps his way through the punishment as different canes are selected. The idea for this sequence is based on an old photo of the period.

When Mr Jackson gets a call from Mr Swartz, the college principle, about the behaviour of his his two twin nephews he’s not too pleased. This is not the first time and now something needs to be done! If they are going to continue living in his house then he’ll be calling the shots not these two petulant pushy boys.
To be fair, out of the two, its usually Darren (Alessandro Katz) that leads the way. His hapless twin (new StingLad Johnny Reed) just seems to follow on. Now though they will meet their match as Uncle Johann can be pushed just so far. He will undoubtedly be their nemesis.
College seniors or not, they can expect to get spanked now, over the knee and on the bare butt. Darren will certainly get his comeuppance this time!

Some young recruits assigned to their duties in the 12th Field Cavalry Regiment are not taking their tasks seriously. This is not good for discipline and two such troopers soon come to the attention of their training officer.
This officer has his own methods of dealing with unruly junior soldiers!
Trooper Weston (Max Duggan) and Trooper Philips (new StingLad Jan Branson) are misbehaving during a clean up session in the stores. Their training Officer (James Holt) has had enough, he’s now going to train them his way.
Both these lads will now be getting an off the record, sound over the knee spanking, starting with Trooper Weston.

The second inmate is Henry James (Ryan Conway) an insolent late teen. He’s caused a lot of trouble in the wing, ending up with a fight.
He too is ordered to the punishment room and will receive a flogging at the punishment frame.

Stepping back to the days when a snowflake was just something that fell in winter. The lads of yesteryear were anything but and knew that if you break the law you’ll end up being severely punished. The visiting Magistrates to the prison had the power to order different types of punishment, including corporal punishment for persistent offenders. If you ending up in prison or a House Of Correction and continued breaking the rules a young inmate could face further discipline. A Magistrate, along with the Governor, had the power to order a re offender to receive a birching or tawsing and of course the infamous cat of nine tails!
Two such fit young lads were up before the Governor for misbehaviour. The first Harry Cornell (Joey Whyte) with his discipline report, in the governors words, as being appalling.
To cure this he will be ordered to report to the punishment room. Here bent over the flogging pony he will be given the prison strap.

The third and final scene from
The third boy is Williams (new StingLad Nat Brown) He’s captain of the Rugby team, well built but has a poor attitude to good manners. A rugby forward whose far too forward! He’s in front of the Headmaster now who can’t let his recent behaviour go unpunished.
Sent to Mr Sharpe his only touch down will be across the Housemaster’s knee, big lad or not!

The lads in college down under are still trying it on with with the staff. Pushing their luck as only they know how to do. Whatever they are up to is soon detected though as watchful eyes are always there to catch them out.
First to be caught misbehaving is Jarvis (Travis McKinnon) he’s trying to cheat in an examination but not doing it very well. Caught out by his Housemaster Mr Sharpe this senior is going to be on the sharp end of a good session of discipline for sure.
