Scene 2 and the young inmates of Rainsford Borstal continue to receive the bottom toasting discipline they deserve ..

A second boy trainee, Hardacre (Joey Whyte) is knocking on the Governors office door. He’s in trouble again for cheek and insubordination.

Tired of his constant bad behaviour the Governor sends him off to the gym too. Here the the senior house officer (Marco)

This is not the first Hardacre has been disciplined by this officer, so he knows what is coming!

Maintaining good discipline is an on going process with the young inmates at Rainsford Borstal. Targets have to be met, or they’ll soon find themselves in deep trouble.

One such lad, Trainee Baker (new StingLad Randal White) has come to the attention of his house officer.

Baker’s monthly report is well below the standard it should be and the boy needs reminding that he’s there to be re-educated, but on the authorities terms, not his.

He is sent to the gym, where a good over the knee spanking is administered.

Another Sting in the Woods

When two friends (Elliot Hollman and David Hines) decide to skip college things don’t turn out quite as they expect.

One of them thinks its a great idea to chase the other with a bunch of stinging nettles. Unfortunately they run straight in to the boys Uncle (Marco) who has suspected that his nephew may not have gone to College as he was supposed to. It’s a fine spring day so larking about outside is much more preferable.

The nettles will turn out to be a great solution in dealing with this reckless behaviour, so a French style punishment is now very on the cards for his wayward nephew.

In scene two Roberts (Ivan Sabado) gets his revenge on Russell (Robin Palmer) who git him into trouble in an earlier episode of Teachers Pests

As Roberts begins to dress after his punishment, the Headmaster told him to send Russell to see him, which of course he did, after placing some wine in his bag of course. The grin on his face revealing how much he will enjoy getting his revenge on Russell

As soon as Russell arrives at the Headmaster’s office he is ordered to hand over his bag

Standing in front of the Headmaster Russell is shocked to see him remove the wine bottle from his bag

Russell sent to see Mr Sharpe who is waiting for him in the Gym.

The Ranger (Marco) is always on the lookout for young lads breaking the angling rules at his reserve and today he’s going to catch young Johnny yet again. Hauled back to his estate office Simon is given a choice of how he’ll be dealt with.

Sensibly or perhaps not, given the Rangers reputation of dealing with miscreants, he opts for whacking.

Shore Based Discipline

Firm discipline at any naval training college has historically always been as very important when training young men to serve at sea. Traditionally some punishments were often laid on to the bare posteriors, especially for younger seaman and has been part of naval life going back many years. The birch, cane and cat o nine tails or boys pussy, as it was known, were all instruments used in various navies for centuries.

One NCO Mr Wyatt (James Holt) a younger member of the training team has got himself in to a spot of bother. Its after sea trials so the Captain wants to keep it of the record and sentences the young NCO to lashes of the cat o nine tails, administered in the manner of a boy seaman.

As there is no cannon to be secured over (kissing the gunners daughter) the gym vaulting horse will have to suffice, as in the case of birching in the early days at T.S Ganges.

Scene two

In scene two, another boy (Paul Wolfe) has been banned from the hall but has sneaked back in to try his luck.

He’s quickly noticed by the owner and told he needs to pay for the damage he caused during his last visit. Unable to do this a deal is stuck. He needs to be punished to make sure he remembers to respect the equipment, especially the easily damaged surfaces of the tables.

He agrees and like Marin before him ends up getting a good hiding.

The Pool and Billiard hall is an attractive place for youngsters to lazily while away their time. This is fine if they actually have the time or have not been banned already, as one lad had been.

It’s Martin’s job (Karl Frazer) to clean the hall but he gets easily distracted and often ends up having a game on the tables himself. No one is around so why not.

However, as he will soon find out, he’s not alone after all!!
