“This is based on the Japanese anime “Dragonball Z”. In it, the two
alien invaders, the spankee and the witness, named Nappa and Vegeta, have
these Scouter devices that calculate someone’s fighting power as a number,
the higher the better. In one scene, Vegeta checks the spanker, Goku’s,
power level. He crushes the Scouter in frustration and yells “It’s over
9000!

“The “It’s over 9000!” line has become a huge meme among anime fans,
hence it’s use in this drawing.”
